If you open a blank word document and copy and paste the contents of your merge document into it and then save over your existing merge template you will not get this error anymore.

We have a similar problem. Please help if you can. We used TM 2010 to create merge templates in Word 2007. I can use all the templates just fine on my computer. However, when a different user wants to use them, we get that box with the error message that the previous user posted. How do we resolve this from happening at all? If I bypass the error by clicking on Options and Remove Header, we can get it to work. But that kind of defeats the purpose of making this a more efficient tool. I would like it to work like it does on my computer for all other users in our office. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

You can use an ODBC connection in Access or Excel or for an easier solution there are 3rd party programs which can take SQL and export to excel. We have used "Export Query to Excel Pro" before.

Unfortunately corruption of TPS files is common in the pro version. That is why Lexis has moved entirely away from that platform. Best bet is to clean up and archive as much billing data as possible that might help. Keeping a very solid backup and having Shadow File copy running on your server during the day is the best defense with TM Pro. Please contact our office if we can be of any assistance. 414-453-7100

Unfortunately only TM 10 will work on Windows 7. You can get TM 9 with the latest services packs to work but 8 and older won't work. You will need to do the upgrade sorry. Please contact our office if we can be of any assistance. 414-453-7100

I am a solo with one laptop and no employees using TM 8.0 with Billing Matters. I just bought a Windows 7 machine, and cannot install TM 8 on it. I spent $650 on the program and another $2,000 in consulting to set it up, and am hoping I do not have to start all over. I am just getting used to TM 8. What are others doing for Windows 7 compatibility?

Our billing.tps file gets corrupted quite often and for the most part the rebuild option works but recently we have had to go back to a previous backup. Any ideas?
